PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the chipping work of the mortar fixing an existing union joint, vibration, and noise and to sharply reduce the construction period and the cost without requiring a skill for regeneration. SOLUTION: A vertical drain main pipe 1 arranged indoors or outdoors is connected via the union joint 6 fitted through story floor slab 2 in this drain pipe device, and the union joint 6 is fitted through the inside of an outer pipe 5 fixed through story floor slab 2. For regenerating the existing drain pipe device, the existing union 6 is cut off near the upper and lower faces of the story floor slab 2, and the remaining straight pipe portion is reutilized as the outer pipe 5 without requiring the chipping work of the mortar 4 fixing the existing union joint 6.
