PURPOSE: A process for preparing a luffa-based health beverage by adding safflower seeds, a ginger, a jujube, a licorice or the like to a luffa as a main component is provided. Whereby, the beverage is high in antitussive, expectorant and diuretic effects and has an effect on removing toxicity from a human body. CONSTITUTION: The titled luffa-based health beverage is prepared by a process consisting of: mixing 100% by weight of a luffa with 3% by weight of safflower seeds, 2% by weight of a ginger, 3% by weight of a jujube, 1% by weight of a licorice and 1% by weight of a natural preservative and heating at high temperature for about 10 to 12 hr.
