PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing position judging device capable of accurately judging whether or not an installing position of a pressure pulse wave detecting device is proper in the pressure pulse wave detecting device having movable sensors movable in the pressing direction on both sides of a fixed sensor. SOLUTION: When it is judged whether a pressure pulse wave M1 detected by a fixed sensor 56 is either of a normal waveform or a reverse waveform by a normalcy-reversal deciding means 134 (S8), respective amplitudes A1, Aa, Ab decided by an amplitude deciding means 132 (S6 to S7) are expressed in the size of a bar graph by an installing position display means 136 (S11), and since a two-dimensional graph 142 for expressing whether the pressure pulse wave M1 detected by the fixed sensor 56 is either of a normal waveform or a reverse waveform by a color or a pattern of the bar graph is displayed on a diaplay 128, whether or not the installing position of a carotid wave detecting device 10 is proper can be accurately judged from the two-dimensional graph 142.
