PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety mounting device for directly mounting a lighting fitting to a ceiling, which is capable of preventing the lighting fitting from falling. SOLUTION: This device comprises a sealing roset 1 fixed to the ceiling, an adapter body 3 mounted to the lighting fitting body and a hanging plug body 4 with circular plan view locked to the under surface of the sealing roset 1. A through hole is bored in the adapter body 3 for inserting the sealing roset 1 and the hanging plug body 4. A connecting hook 16 which is capable of telescopically move and connected to the sealing roset 1 is provided on the surface of the inner periphery of the through hole 14. The outer periphery face of the hanging plug body 4 is made to be a first tapered face 8 inclining downward out, and the inner surface of the through hole of the adapter body 3 forms a second tapered face 15 being capable of being connected to the first tapered face 8, inclining downward out and approximately circular in plan view.
