PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a center frame and left and right side frames separately, thereby efficiently performing the assembly work and to make shorter the overall dimension of the slewing frame thereby permitting to reduce the slewing radius of the upper slewing body. SOLUTION: The slewing frame 11 is assembled in such a manner that a center frame 12, a left side frame 21 and a right side frame 28 are assembled independently each other on the assembly lines respectively different. The center frame 12 of the slewing frame 11 comprises a bottom plate 13 and right and left longitudinal plates 14A and 14B, and attaching bracket portions 15A and 15B for work equipment are provided at the front portion side of the longitudinal plates 15A and 15B. Also, weight attaching portions 18A and 18B are provided at the rear side of the longitudinal plates 14A and 14B, and counter- weights to be loaded to the weight attaching portions 18A and 18B are placed within a virtual circle having the diameter 12 times the wheel width of the lower traveling body.
