PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine apparatus capable of restraining the rapid cooling of the gas turbine apparatus and convection of internal gas, and restraining distortion due to a temperature difference. SOLUTION: This gas turbine apparatus is provided with a compressor 2, a gas turbine 3 disposed at the outlet side of the compressor, a chimney 7 disposed at the outlet side of the gas turbine, an opening and closing cover 8 disposed in the chimney, plural exhaust ports 9 formed to penetrate the opening and closing cover, an exhaust pipe 10 disposed outside of each exhaust port with the tip opening pointed downward, and temperature detectors 11, 12, 13 disposed at the inlet and outlet of the gas turbine 3, and in the apparatus, after the outlet temperature detected by the outlet temperature detector 12 passes the maximum point connected to the minimum point in the change after the operation of the gas turbine apparatus 1 is stopped, the opening and closing cover 8 is closed.
