PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent and to provide a process for reducing acetic acid odor which are useful for acetic acid-compounded detergent compositions for bathrooms and kitchens. SOLUTION: The agent for reducing acetic acid odor of acetic acid- compounded detergent compositions for bathrooms and kitchens comprises at least one compound selected from an amine oxide surfactant and a carbobetaine amphoteric surfactant.
