PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pivotably supporting device of a paper discharge roller in a recording device in which the printing quality is not degraded even when the printing is continued after a terminating end of a paper sheet leaves a paper feed roller. SOLUTION: In this pivotably supporting device of the paper discharge roller in the recording device having a paper discharge roller 27 comprising a paper discharge drive roller 29 and a paper discharge tine roller 31 in which the paper sheet P is fed in a condition where the back tension is applied to the paper discharge roller 27 when the paper sheet P is held by both the paper feed roller 19 and the paper discharge roller 27, and the paper sheet can be printed even after the terminating end of the paper sheet leaves the paper feed roller, a both-end bearing unit 49 having a bearing 50 for supporting a shaft body 45 of the paper discharge drive roller by both ends of the shaft body is provided, the shaft body 45 is supported in a fixed manner with an outer surface of the shaft body of the paper discharge drive roller in line contact with at least three supports 53 and 53a on an inner surface of the bearing of the both-end bearing unit, and a space 65 is formed between the other part of the inner surface of the bearing and the outer surface of the shaft body.
