PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a saddle shape deflection coil for the deflection yoke in which torsional deformation of coil is eliminated or reduced and which has a good symmetry. SOLUTION: A deflection coil of saddle shape is formed by a stranded wire which is stranded of plural wires, and the deflection coil has the strand pitch at the point a only of the crossover wire ab at the neck portion and at the point c only of the crossover wire c to d at the opening portion made larger than the other points.
