PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the output of print data depending on the presence/absence of information of a print data header part. SOLUTION: The printing control method, by which the print data are received through a network and the print data of output control based no the print data are transmitted to a printing processing unit connected to this network, is provided with a managing process for managing the holding condition of the print data header part concerning that printing processing unit, an identifying process for identifying the print data header part and a print data main body part from the received print data, an adding process for adding the print data header part, with which the holding condition is managed by the managing process, to the print data when the print data do not hold the print data header part as a result of identification due to the identifying process, and a transmitting process for transmitting the added print data header part and the print data to the printing processing unit.
