PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain culm nipping device for a combine harvester, smoothly and retractably moving a guide bar of a conveyance on the lower part of a reaping section and preventing the guide bar from dislocation due to its sliding abrasion keeping its proper pressing force. SOLUTION: This grain culm nipping device for a combine harvester has such a construction and scheme that a guide bar (2) set against a conveyance chain (1) is springily held in a retractable manner by parallel links (3a) and (3b) retreatingly inclined in the direction of conveying grain culms, and a flexible part enabling one side junction (5) of the guide bar (2) to slide is furnished to afford such a delay structure that the parallel link (3b) is slidably moved and then converted to a turning movement mode even if the other parallel link (3a) is turned, or springily hold a pressure contact means with a plurality of plate springs (7) retreatingly inclined in the direction of conveying grain culms.
