PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic PTC device which is small in electric resistance change after a current is made to flow continuously through it and has a high withstand voltage. SOLUTION: Polyethylene has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 100000 or above and molecular weight distribution (Mn/Mw) of 0.15 or above, where Mn denotes a number average molecular weight. Conductive particles are dispersed in the above polyethylene, and the polyethylene loaded with the conductive particles is formed into sheet material. The sheet material is sandwiched between a pair of electrodes for the formation of an organic PTC device.
