PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a non-contact type memory cartridge in the vertical direction, in the conventional management system of a tape cartridge called an LTO system, in which such a non-contact type memory cartridge is inclined 45 deg. to be arranged within a case body, so as to establish a radio connection state between a tape drive and two memory leaders at the side of a library machine. SOLUTION: Data are transmitted toward a memory leader 36 on the side of the tape drive 34 by using an electromagnetic wave W1 sent out in the right- angled direction among electromagnetic waves, sent out from a non-contact type memory cartridge M, and data are also transmitted toward the memory cartridge 33 on the side of the library machine by using an electromagnetic wave W2 sent out in parallel. Thereby, the memory cartridge M can be arranged in an erected state in the vertical direction within the case main body 1 without the need for inclining the cartridge.
