PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring errors, such as eccentricity of a gear that may be created, when a gear is produced or assembled to a device and the gear is activated in a device having a gear chain. SOLUTION: There is disclosed method of measuring gear errors where two small gears 1, 3 are engaged with a testing gear 2, a rotational transmission error obtained by measuring the rotational angle of one small gear 3, on the basis of the rotation of the other small gear is subjected to frequency analysis, and then errors including an eccentricity error can be calculated.
