CHARACTER TELEPHONE NUMBER GUIDE SERVICE SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A character telephone number guide service system and a method thereof are provided to receive the transmitted data in an exchange system and transmit the telephone guide service result data as the short message type to the subscriber when a subscriber transmits the request of telephone guide service by using a cellular phone with character data to the exchanger system. CONSTITUTION: A mobile subscriber call processing unit(120) receives the number and character data transmitted to an exchange system(100) and then transmits the number data to a number translation unit(130) and the character data to a telephone number guide server(200) or the result data of the telephone number guide service transmitted from the telephone number guide server(200) to an external subscriber after converting into character data. A telephone number guide server link unit(110) receives the character data transmitted from the external subscriber through a mobile subscriber call processing unit and then converts the data into TCP/IP message and transmits to the telephone number guide server(200). A number translation unit(130) receives the number data transmitted from the mobile subscriber call processing unit(120) and then identifies whether the number data is a special number for guiding the telephone number and transmits the result value to the mobile subscriber call processing unit(120). A routing control unit(140) changes the route number searched in the number translation unit(130) into an index and then selects a trunk for setting up the call.
