PURPOSE: A shopping area information service system and its operating method is provided to offer information on the stores within a shopping building to a user and at the same time, offer information on an instant event offered by a specific store in the case that a user visits the shopping building. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a data storage(110), a data transmitter(120), and an instant data transmitter(130). The data storage(110) stores information on each store within the shopping building. The data transmitter(120), installed at entrances of the shopping building, communicates data with a customer terminal(200) and transmits information on the store within the shopping building to the customer terminal(200). The instant data transmitter(130), installed at a plurality of locations within the shopping building, transmits information on instant events, if occurring at some stores, to the customer terminal(200). The operation method comprises steps of connecting the customer terminal to the data storage(110), transmitting the information stored at the data storage to the customer terminal(200), and enabling the instant transmitter to transmit the instant event information to the customer terminal(200).
