PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal having a GPS(Global Positioning System) function for couple is provided to notify one's own position to the other and hold one's own data in common through an infrared shared device when a subscriber having a mobile communication terminal set as a couple phone exists within the neighboring position set by a user. CONSTITUTION: When a base station senses a transmission signal of a satellite according to the request of a user, finds the latitude and longitude of the position corresponding to the present position of a couple phone and then transmits the position signal, a GPS reception unit(100) receives the position signal and performs an analog/digital conversion process. A GPS signal processing unit(200) outputs a position display control signal by processing the position signal, and outputs a common melody or a buzzer signal to a speaker by the shortened key pressing operation of the user when the position of the couple phone is within a constant distance. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) driving unit(300) display the position of the opponent to an LCD(400) by the control signal. A buzzer and melody generating unit(600) generates a buzzer signal and a melody for notifying one's own position to the opponent. An infrared shared device(500) holds the data in common with the mobile communication terminal set as the couple phone.
