PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device which improves combustibility with good mixing property of gaseous fuel and air, and accordingly improves boiler efficiency with the reduction of oxygen concentration in an exhaust gas at the exit of a boiler, and thus improves flame holding property even at the time of low loading. SOLUTION: The combustion device comprises an inner cylinder which is formed around the central axis of the device and serves as a first air channel and an outer cylinder which concentrically encloses the inner cylinder to form a second air channel having an annular cross section, both of which being open in a furnace. Air is blown to the furnace, being swirled, from the first and second air channels. A plurality of gaseous fuel atomizers, which are substantially orientated toward the axial direction of the device with their tip nozzle portions being located at the furnace side, are disposed in the second air channel, in the circumferential direction of the annular section, with an even interval. Part of the periphery around the central axis of the tip nozzle portion is rendered to be a non-jet region and the other peripheral part than the non-jet region is provided with a plurality of jets that are obliquely and outwardly orientated. The non-jet region is disposed being orientated toward the upstream of the swirl flow with respect to the line connecting the center of the device and the center of the tip nozzle portion. The jets adjacent to both sides of the non-jet region are rendered to be smaller than the other jets.
