PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting, having an elastic contact piece which is easy to be displaced axially. SOLUTION: An elastic contact piece 18, connected to an inner ceiling wall 15 via an elastic support piece 17, is mounted in a connection part 11. The contact piece 18 is formed in a cantilever-like form, folded frontward by using the connection part to the support piece 17 as a base end, and a part thereof provided with a contact part 21 to a male tab terminal 40 can be deformed vertically elastically around the folded part 20. The contact piece 18 can be displaced as a whole, along the axial direction by centering the support piece 17. An auxiliary spring part 30 provided with a first curved part 31 and a second curved part 32 winding in the vertical directions like a hair pin is formed immediately before the folded part 20 in the contact piece 18. The spring part 30 is axially elastically extendable, accompanying the axial vibration of the terminal 40 in contact with the contact part 21.
