PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unreasonable force from being applied to each bored part of a plane glass plate by securing a large absorption quantity of layer displacement in comparison with conventional constitution at the occurrence of an earthquake. SOLUTION: This support fitting for the glass plate is disposed on the indoor face side of a corner joint part of each glass plate of a glass screen consisting of a plurality of glass plates provided parallel in the longitudinal and lateral directions as an exterior wall window of a building. An arm is connected to one end part or both end parts of a horizontal member supported by a boss member at the tip part of a support rod connected and fixed to a structure body, and the arm extends in at least one direction out of a vertical direction and a vertically oblique direction from the end part. The tip support part of the arm is provided with a support hole for supporting a clamp fitted to a bored part of the glass plate. The boss member at the tip of the support rod has a slide groove that can loosely fit the horizontal member, and the boss member and the horizontal member can relatively side so as to be able to absorb the layer displacement caused by the earthquake or the like.
