PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of any inconvenience that unread mails are erased as they are. SOLUTION: This communication terminal equipment for transmitting and receiving an electronic mail is provided with a mail storing means 4 for preserving a received electronic mail, a mail size calculating means 5 for calculating the total capacity and/or number of items of unread electronic mails among electronic mails preserved in the mail storing means 4, a mail size judging means 6 for judging whether or not the calculated total capacity and/or number of items of the unread electronic mails exceeds a preliminarily set threshold capacity and/or threshold number of items, and announcing means 8 and 10 for announcing the presence of the unread electronic mails to a user when it is judged that the total capacity and/or number of items of the unread electronic mails exceeds the threshold capacity and/or the threshold number of items.
