摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creeping discharge electrode which can sustain a stable discharge with an electrode manufactured at as low cost as possible. SOLUTION: Alternating voltage is applied between a discharge electrode 2 and an induction electrode 3 arranged pinching a dielectric substrate 1, and a creeping discharge is generated along end edge parts 2a of the discharge electrode 2 opposing the induction electrode 3. Since the end edge parts 2a of the discharge electrode is worn out with generation of the creeping discharge to recede toward inside of the electrode, a state in which discharge energy is centered on a part of the dielectric substrate 1 will not last, so that a local degradation of the dielectric substrate 1 is prevented, and insulating strength of the substrate can be maintained, and at same time, discharge fault due to oxidization of the electrode itself can be prevented, as a new electrode face is always formed at the end edge parts 2a of the discharge electrode 2.
