[Class 20 (iii)] A tilting door for a shed having a wide opening is braced by an exterior girder 5 so placed that wher the door is opened and lying horizon tally above the open ing, the door beam lies in the angle be tween the girder anc the door panel. The girder may be o simple or box, or lattice construction and the section may be varied to suit the load at each position. The door comprises panel frames having wood or sheet-iron coverings, the centre of gravity being above the panel, e.g. at the point 6. The door may be operated by pulley and cable mounted on posts or on the shed. |
