NEEDLE-LIKE TOOL USED IN INTERVENTIONAL ULTRASOUND APPLICATION

PURPOSE: A needle-like tool used in interventional ultrasound application is provided to reduce the error of a biopsy and a tumor treatment by displaying an exact position of a biopsy needle or an ablation needle on an ultrasound image. CONSTITUTION: A pipe-shaped inner layer(104) is formed so as to be easily inputted into a human body. An outer layer(102) of an ultrasound wave reflecting material is formed on a surface of the pipe-shaped inner layer(104). When the pipe-shaped inner layer(104) is inputted into the human body, a fine prong is formed on an upper portion of the pipe-shaped inner layer(104) by an operation of an operator. An encoding unit is provided on an end of the pipe-shaped inner layer(104) and measures movement of the fine prong in real-time.
