PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vegetation blocks capable of definitely growing plants on the face of slope of a road or the like, and greening and collapse prevention method for the face of slope of road or the like by using the vegetation blocks. SOLUTION: The vegetation block 20 to be embedded to the face of slope 10 of a road contains old, used paper, fertilizer and fly ash. Here, the old, used paper is capable of enhancing the strength of vegetation block 20, and the fly ash improves the water absorption and water retainability, and further the fertilizer functions as noulishment for plants. By using these vegetation blocks 20 as the vegetation basic materials, the plants can be definitely grown on the face of slope 10 such as roads or the like.
