SEALING TAPE

The sealing band (1) has an elongated foam body and opposite broad sides (3,4) that is placed on fusion faces and opposite narrow sides (5,6) arranged between the broad sides. A cross-section profiling (7) is provided on one of the broad sides. An elevated area (8) and a deep area (9) are arranged on two sides of a central plane of the sealing band such that the foam material produces a stronger sealing in the elevated area than in the deep area. The sealing band is structured in the elevated area or in the deep area, when an elevation or a depth is formed in the cross section.
