PURPOSE: An electron gun for a cathode ray tube is provided to simplify the structure for applying voltage to electrodes, while reducing short between electrodes. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a cathode assembly(41) serving as an electron beam emitter; a plurality of electrodes(43 to 48) arranged in sequence from the cathode assembly; bead glasses(51) for fixing the cathode assembly and electrodes; a conductive lead wire(61) mounted in a lengthwise direction on the bead glass in such a manner that the conductive lead wire is exposed outward from the surface of the glass bead; and dividing lead wires(62,63) for connecting the conductive lead wire and electrodes of the electron gun, and applying the voltage applied to the conductive lead wire to the electrodes of the electron gun.
