PURPOSE: An air cleaner for a vehicle is provided to allow for ease of maintenance of vehicle and reduce manufacturing costs by eliminating the necessity of mounting a resonator for reducing engine noise. CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner(200) comprises a housing(210) having an outlet(220) for supplying air to a vehicle engine, a recessed portion(270) opposed to the outlet, and an inlet(230) for sucking air from atmosphere; a filter sheet(240) embedded within the internal space of the housing, which filters the air flowing through the inlet of the housing; an intake pipe(260) having one end extended inward into the housing through the outlet of the housing and the other end connected to the vehicle engine so as to supply air to the vehicle engine, wherein one end of the intake pipe has a cross section gradually increasing in the internal space of the housing; and a sound absorbing member(280) arranged at one end of the intake pipe, which absorbs noises generated from the vehicle engine.
