PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device for a two-plug four-valve engine capable of providing secured ignition and stable combustion from the ignition to the end of the combustion. SOLUTION: In a case where a first ignition plug 12 and a second ignition plug 13 are individually ignited before a top dead center in a compression stroke, the second ignition plug 13 is ignited first on the basis of an ignition command signal outputted from an ECU 16 through a capacity discharge-type ignition device 15 to surely ignite an air-fuel mixture, then the first ignition plug 12 is ignited on the basis of an ignition command signal outputted from the ECU 16 through an induction discharge-type ignition device 14, and after the passage of a predetermined time, the combustion of the air-fuel mixture can be stabilized.
