摘要 PURPOSE: An aerodynamic bearing spindle motor having a structure of generating pre-load through a step difference is provided to prevent a system from being damaged due to friction or frictional heat generated when the system starts up. CONSTITUTION: A step difference is formed between a pole(132b) on which a coil(134) of a stator(130) winds and a permanent magnet(160) set in a hub(120) in such a manner that the permanent magnet is placed higher than the pole of the stator or lower than the pole. In this structure, pulling force between the pole of the stator and the permanent magnet operates in radial and thrust directions, simultaneously, to form pre-load between the hub and an aerodynamic bearing(140). When the pre-load is formed between the hub and aerodynamic bearing, friction is not generated between the hub and aerodynamic bearing when a spindle motor(100) is initially operated.
