PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner with a function of stop on stairs is provided to maintain a body to stop on stairs with a stop portion of a stop member during cleaning and to move the vacuum cleaner conveniently by forming a handle to a side of the stop member. CONSTITUTION: A connecting hose(20) is connected to a body(22) of a vacuum cleaner with a connecting portion(30). The connecting portion is equipped with a stop member(32) moving centering around a hinged shaft. The stop member covers both sides of the connecting portion. A handle(34) is formed to a side of the stop member and, a stop portion(36) is formed to the other side of the stop member. Therein, a user uses the handle conveniently to move the cleaner. The body of the vacuum cleaner is not slid downward by hanging the stop portion to a protrusion of stairs.
