PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for a rest room, having excellent removal performance of dirt in a toilet bowl. SOLUTION: This detergent composition for the rest room contains at least a surfactant, an organic acid, a thickener and a perfume. The thickener is preferably stable in an acidic to acidulous region, and exemplified by a natural polymer such as a xanthan gum, a monat gum, a guar gum and methylcellulose, a natural or synthetic clay mineral such as montmorillonite, saponite and hectorite, and a water-soluble synthetic polymer such as a polyvinyl alcohol.
