PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pre-treating coal, comprising molding and coking fine coal produced in a fluidized-bed dryer with a molded coke-producing facility and then charging the coke produced in the coke oven together with coarse coal into a blast furnace, by which the coal can be dried to a water content of≤2% to maximize merits such as good coke quality and energy saving, while not causing the problem of tar smell and preventing the dusting of the coal on the transportation of the raw material and the carryover of the coal when the coal is charged into the coke oven. SOLUTION: This method for pre-treating the coal is characterized by charging the coal comprising non-fine caking coal and caking coal into the fluidized- bed drier 4 to dry the coal and simultaneously classify the coal into coarse coal and fine coal, charging the fine coal among the coarse coal and the fine coal into the carbonization oven 18 of the molded coke-producing facility, preferably charging the coarse coal into a chamber oven type coke oven 23, and then charging the molded coke produced in the carbonization oven and the coke produced in the chamber oven type coke oven into the blast furnace 27.
