PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a specified area (for example, area of a face) from an image, and the like. SOLUTION: This image processor detects the area having a cutis color on an input image, and detects the areas wider than a specified size among of the detected areas having the cutis color. Then, the area having a specified hole is detected as the area of the face, among the detected areas wider than the specified size. The detected area of the face is analyzed thereafter to determine the direction of the image. An image for masking the detected face area is generated thereafter.
