PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk storage device in which head positioning accuracy is improved by conforming to a variation in disturbance in a head positioning control system including a disturbance feed forward control system. SOLUTION: A disk drive having the head positioning control system including the disturbance feed forward (FF) control system is disclosed. The system (CPU 70) realizes a disturbance FF control function for compensating for a degradation in the positioning accuracy due to the disturbance by observing the acceleration of the disturbance by means of an acceleration sensor 9. Aside from the disturbance FF control function, the system has a parameter identification function for upgrading the transfer characteristic of the disturbance FF control system based on the disturbance and an error in position.
