PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide car components made of titanium which has such a phase structure as to give the same strength as a conventional titanium specified in JIS2 and JIS3, and enable similar design for the components and the process, and has a high residual ductility after working. SOLUTION: The car component made of titanium comprises, by mass%, 0.15-0.5% Fe, 0.015-0.04% nitrogen, oxygen, and the balance titanium with unavoidable impurities, and has an oxygen equivalency value Q of 0.11-0.28%, where Q=[O]+2.77[N]+0.1[Fe] when [Fe] expresses an Fe content, [N] a nitrogen content, and [O] an oxygen content. Q is preferably 0.11-0.20%. The car component is preferably a muffler, an exhaust pipe, a two-wheel frame, a two-wheel rear fork, or a two-wheel front fork inner pipe. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
