PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an allyl alcohol alkylene oxide addition composition having good reactivity as an intermediate, a good appearance of a reaction product and less odor. SOLUTION: This allyl alcohol alkylene oxide addition composition satisfies the following relation: 0≤(a)-(b)≤0.04×(a) (wherein (a) is a number average molecular weight calculated from an analytical value of a degree of total unsaturation and (b) is a number average molecular weight calculated from an analytical value of a hydroxy value) and has an aldehyde content of 0.1 wt.% or less, a peroxide value of 10 or less, an alkali metal content of 2 ppm or less, a moisture content of 0.2 wt.% or less and a by-product content of 500 ppm or less obtained by a reaction with an alkyl group.
