PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a language computer, etc., which uses a semiotic base. SOLUTION: A context base 111 of the semiotic base 102 of the language computer 101 stores state description knowledge explaining features of a state, in-state knowledge explaining knowledge used in a certain state, and a user profile explaining items concerned with a user in the description form of a natural language and a state dependency dictionary 116 holds state features and vocabulary information and meaning information of the language in the certain state; and an input acceptance part 103 accepts input of a speech from the user, a state identification part 104 identifies the state of the speech by reference to the semiotic base 102, and a text generation part 105 generates a text of an answer by referring to the state description knowledge, in-state knowledge, and user profile described in the natural language, made correspond to the identified state and stored in the context base 111 and the vocabulary information, meaning information, etc., of the language held in the state dependency dictionary.
