PURPOSE: A buffer device of a driver's seat for a bus and a control method thereof are provided to improve steering stability, and to prevent a foot of a driver from being detached from a brake pedal by reducing vertical displacement of the driver's seat in increasing the angle of a steering wheel during traveling on a curved or rough road. CONSTITUTION: A buffer device of a driver's seat comprises a displacement sensor(30) installed in the front of an upper plate(10) to detect up-and-down displacement of the seat; top and bottom detecting points installed corresponding to a dashboard(38) in the front of the seat and detected by the displacement sensor; a steering angle detecting sensor(24) installed in a steering column(26) to detect the steering angle; an electronic control unit(28) connecting to the displacement sensor and the steering angle detecting sensor to communicate signals; and an opening valve(32) installed between an air spring(14) and a leveling valve(18) to regulate supply and discharge of compressed air according to the signal from the electronic control unit.
