PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder that can perform stable ejection from the first scanning after use of a nozzle which cannot be used because of the restriction of nozzle use is started and to provide a method of inkjet recording for performing the above controlling. SOLUTION: When recording is continuously performed on a portion following a top portion of a recording medium after recording is performed on the top portion thereof, preliminary ejection is applied to a nozzle of which the use is so far restricted and is started in the present recording before the recording is started, and then thickened ink in the nozzle is removed and the condition is improved to be suitable for the ejection. As a result, it is possible to improve the ejecting condition of the nozzle to be used in the present recording. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
