PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of printing on a plain paper or other articles while being contained compactly in a home television rack, or the like. SOLUTION: A disc tray 20 is provided movably in the printing direction and the discharging direction of the tray. When a disc 22 is inserted or ejected, the disc tray 20 is carried in the discharging direction of the tray and moved to the outside of an inkjet recorder 10. At other times, the disc tray 20 is contained in the inkjet recorder 10. Since carriage of the disc tray 20 is divided into two directions, the size can be reduced in the printing direction and the inkjet recorder can be contained compactly in a home television rack, or the like.
