摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit of an automatic transmission for a vehicle capable of effectively controlling a sharp rise of rotation speed in an engine even though a speedup state in a clutch-to-clutch speed change is canceled in accordance with a changeover from a driving state to a driven state in a vehicle in process of the clutch-to-clutch speed change. SOLUTION: When speedup from 4th-speed to 5th-speed in the clutch-to-clutch speed change is started by a release control means 146, if it is determined that the vehicle is switched from a driving state to a driven state, quick release control of a clutch C1 as a hydraulic frictional connection device at a releasing side is carried out after it is determined that more than predetermined connection torque is generated in a brake B1 as a hydraulic frictional connection device at an engaging side. Thus, a sharp rise of rotation speed in an engine is effectively controlled without a lack of torque when the vehicle is switched from the driving state to the driven state in process of the speedup from 4th-speed to 5th-speed in the clutch-to-clutch speed change.
