PURPOSE: A breaker of an excavator is provided to remove difficulty in securing location of a head of the breaker under any work conditions by combining a main gear and a fixing unit for fixing the main gear while enabling interlocking of the main gear and the fixing unit. CONSTITUTION: A breaker of an excavator comprises a gear protection case(40) integrally connecting an excavator connection stand(30) and a breaker head(20) and forming a fixing unit insert hole(41) in the rear; a main gear(42) forming gear threads(43,44) in two directions of 90 degrees in the gear protection case; a hydraulic motor gear combined to a shaft of a hydraulic motor(48) to give rotational force to the main gear, to correspond to the main gear; an operating rod(50) fitted to a rotating shaft formed to the excavator connection stand; and an operating unit(60) formed to one end of the operating rod, to pull the operating rod if necessary. The operating rod fits a fixing unit(51) combined to the end into the fixing unit insert hole of the gear protection case. The rotational force of the hydraulic motor rotates the hydraulic motor gear to rotate the breaker head axially combined to the main gear. If the pulling force of the operating unit is released, the fixing unit is pushed in the fixing unit insert hole by the elastic force of an elastic spring fixed to the other end of the operating rod and is firmly fitted into the rear gear thread formed to the rear of the main gear. Thus, the breaker head is capable of rotating at any angle and the work efficiency is improved.
