PURPOSE: Lower structure of a steel elevator pit is provided to simplify installation of a form for placing concrete, pit excavation, and prevent lowering of quality by water by forming a steel sheet in an arch-shape and installing the steel sheet to the lower part of the elevator pit. CONSTITUTION: In lower structure of a steel elevator pit, an arch-shaped pit(10) is installed to the lower part of the elevator pit. To form the arch-shaped pit, a steel sheet is bent up. Ribs(12) are installed to the outer peripheral surface of the arch-shaped pit at the same intervals. Holes(13) are formed in the ribs, to arrange bars. The arch-shaped pit is divided into several pieces and flanges(15) for connection are formed to the boundary surfaces. Fastening holes(17) are formed to the flange. The divided arch-shaped pits are assembled in one by using such fastening units(18) as bolts or rivets.
