A resin-coated steel sheet exhibiting excellent adhesiveness of the resin even during a tough molding process. Specifically disclosed is a surface-treated steel sheet in the surface of which tin metal is discontinuously dispersed in the form of particles and iron of the steel sheet surface is partially exposed. The surface-treated steel sheet is characterized in that the particulate metal tin dispersed in the steel sheet accounts for 5-95% of the area of the steel sheet surface, the amount of tin is 0.1-13 g/m 2 and the particulate metal tin has an average particle size of 0.5-50 µm. Also specifically disclosed is a resin-coated steel sheet which is characterized in that a resin layer is formed on the surface-treated steel sheet. |
