<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean and polish the surface of a field crop sufficiently all over by making brushes deeply reach the root part and the deformed part of the field crop. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for cleaning and polishing a field crop has constitution that a plurality of brush rolls are arranged side by side at fixed intervals, a polishing body is installed at a fixed interval above the brush rolls, a wetting means for wetting each brush roll with water is laid, a driving means for rotating each brush roll is fixed and the field crop is transported while the surface of the field crop being cleaned and polished by the brush rolls. The length of brush bristles makes the whole or part of the brush bristles of each of a pair of adjacent brush rolls be overlapped at opposing parts, the brush bristles are alternately transplanted so as not to be brought into contact with each other and the brush surfaces are made to deeply reach the surface of the field crop to clean and polish the surface of the field crop all over. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
