PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker for notes validation which fits with paper money with various widths. SOLUTION: This paper money stacker 10 for paper money validator includes a stationary punch and a pair of movable rails 30 and 32, and the pair of the movable rails have slots 34 and 36 therein adapted for receiving paper money sent thereto. The stationary punch comprises the surface of a top plate 24 of a housing 22 holding drive motors and gears of the stacker itself. The top plate is curved to accommodate the natural deflection of the paper money as it is being stacked. The top plate is also provided with a durable frictional material 26 along both lateral edges thereof to prevent the notes from sliding or moving upon the surface of the curved plate. Serrations or teeth are provided at the leading edge of the curved plate and the serrations or the teeth, in conjunction with a shutter fixed to the movable rails, serve to defeat the paper money extraction by strings or other taking out tools.
