CLOCK GENERATOR HAVING CIRCUIT FOR CONTROLLING PHASE OF REFERENCE CLOCK

PURPOSE: A clock generator having a circuit for controlling a phase of a reference clock is provided to improve operation stabilization by maintaining constantly a phase relation between a reference clock and a modulated clock. CONSTITUTION: A clock generator includes an oscillator and a phase controller. The oscillator(1) is used for generating a reference clock. The phase controller is used for controlling a phase of the reference clock generated from the oscillator according to a variable setup condition at each clock cycle. In addition, the phase controller is used for changing variable setup condition in order to spread a spectrum of an output clock. The phase controller includes a variable delay circuit for delaying the reference clock and a control circuit for detecting a delayed state of the variable delay circuit and regulating a control input to the variable delay circuit.
