PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery terminal in which diameter reduction of a battery insertion hole is made to be carried out steadily and undesirable deformation of the battery terminal main body is suppressed. SOLUTION: The battery terminal 1 is constructed to have a pair of contact parts 21, 21 which are respectively formed on the lower side and at both ends in right and left direction of the coupling parts 7, 7 (a pair of fastening parts) of which respective top end parts 23, 23 contacts the upper side inner face of the coupling parts 7, 7, and a pair of slide contact parts 21, 21 which are respectively formed on the upper side and at both ends in right and left direction of the coupling parts 7, 7 and extend so as to wrap the lower side outer face of the pair of contact parts 21, 21 and the coupling parts 7, 7.
