PURPOSE: A safety device for an ankle in a vehicle is provided to protect the ankle and the lower body of the passenger at a head-on collision by inserting a panel to a cut portion in the front floor of the vehicle and actuating the panel with a lifter, and to operate the panel actively by quickly actuating the lifter connected to the inflator. CONSTITUTION: A safety device(100) for an ankle is composed of a cut portion(11) formed in the front floor of a vehicle; a panel(20) inserted to the cut portion; and a lifter(40) opening and closing the panel. The floor is divided into the inside and the outside by the cut portion, and the panel is arranged in the cut portion. The rear part of the panel is combined with a hinge part(13), and a connecting member(30) is connected to the lower and rear parts of the panel. The connecting member is combined with the panel by a pin(50), and the pin is inserted to a hinge hole in the end of the connecting member. The other side of the connecting member is connected to the lifter, and the lifter is connected to an inflator.
